Vintaste is a web-based tasting and loyalty platform that helps wineries connect with their visitors by capturing tasting feedback, preferences, and engagement insights. Cloud Infrastructure: Vintaste is hosted on Microsoft Azure – Canada Central, under enterprise-grade security, encryption, and compliance frameworks.

2. Information We Collect

When you fill out a tasting form, we collect:
      • Email address
      • Your tasting notes (aromas, flavors, preferences, impressions)
      • General visit information (date, winery, wines tasted)
    • Optional preferences (newsletter opt-in, club interest, special offers)
We do not collect sensitive personal information.

3. How Your Information Is Used

By submitting the form, you consent to Vintaste using your information for the following purposes:

a) Sending Your Tasting Notes

We email you a copy of your notes for personal reference and future wine selection.

b) Email Marketing (Explicit Consent)

Your email may be used to send:
      • Winery promotions, discounts, and pairing suggestions
      • Invitations to events and tasting experiences
      • Vintaste or partner winery newsletters
    • Personalized recommendations based on your tasting behavior
You can unsubscribe at any time.

c) Aggregated Market-Intelligence Reports

Vintaste may use your tasting data (never your name or email) in anonymous, aggregated reports that help wineries and wine associations understand:
      • Visitor preferences and trends
      • Popular varietals, styles, and tasting patterns

Your identity is never included in these reports.

d) Improving the Platform

We analyze usage patterns (anonymized) to enhance features and functionality.

4. Who Receives Your Data

      • The winery you are visiting, so they can understand preferences and improve customer experience
    • Wine associations or event organizers, but only in aggregated, anonymized form
We never sell personal information to third parties.

5. International Users & Compliance

Because visitors may come from the United States, Canada, Europe, and other countries, Vintaste aligns with major privacy standards including:
      • PIPEDA (Canada)
      • GDPR principles (EU) for consent, access, and deletion
    • US general privacy expectations, including transparency and opt-out rights
Your data is stored securely in Canada under Microsoft Azure’s compliant infrastructure.

We use modern security protocols, including:
      • HTTPS encryption
      • Secure cloud storage in Azure Canada Central
    • Access controls limited to authorized Vintaste personnel

You may request at any time:
      • Access to your data
